Fun, contemporary wedding photography by Nottingham-based photographer Jon Brown.
Wedding Photography, Nottingham, East Midlands.
a day to remember
If you're reading this then it probably means you're getting married at some point in the not too distant future... so congratulations!
Your wedding is such a special day and it's really important you find a photographer who's fun, talented and will give you photos you'll want to show off.
I love weddings and privilege it is to have the responsibility of being the photographer. I started back in 2007 and have traveled across Britain to all sorts of venues and locations.
My photography style has always been a more natural one. I prefer to take less formal, more relaxed and fun shots. I realise that to keep the grandparents happy, couples usually want to have the posed family shots - and I'm always happy to oblige, trying to make them as fun and pain-free as possible! But what I really enjoy is capturing the emotion and story of the day. As well as getting some great natural, contemporary shots of the couple, I'll get hundreds of photos of guests, the venue, the details and the decoration.

When it comes to prints I take quite a different approach to a lot of wedding photographers. Many will charge hugely inflated prices for prints, to get a bit of extra income. Photo printing is so cheap to get online these days that I much prefer to give all the photos to my clients as full resolution digital files and then let them get as many prints as they want, at the size they want.

Do you offer engagement shoots:
Yep. Find out more here.
Do you make invites/wedding stationary?
I do indeed. I can make invites, table plans, signs etc. Just let me know what you’d like! Find out more about my graphic design here.
Do you offer prints?

Photo printing is so cheap to get online these days that I much prefer to give all the photos to my clients as full resolution digital files and then let them get as many prints as they want, at the size they want. However, if you are very keen for me to add prints to your package I am more than happy to factor this in.
I do offer albums, as they take a bit more work and skill to prepare and arrange.
What are your albums like?
The company that I use for albums is called Cewe, as their print quality is excellent and their prices are very reasonable, keeping costs down for the customer.
The book I usually offer is the XXL Faux-Leather Photobook. You can view an example of here. Note that it has extra thick, quality photo paper, which is an especially noticeable feature. I'm happy to be flexible with the specific album if you would prefer a different style and for those with a bigger budget I also offer Folio albums upon request.
Any tips for planning a wedding and avoiding stress??
Yep, after seeing too many couples getting stressed on their big day I decided to share some helpful hints on how you can get the most out of you wedding. You can read them here!
"Jon was the ideal photographer for our wedding and better than we could have hoped for. The incredible album he made is a family item we really treasure. His fun, happy character made the day even more enjoyable. We'd recommend him to anyone getting married, his photography is brilliant." - James & Chloe, Birmingham
